PostSubject: AFC under 15's to play Histon Youth Academy u15's   Wed Oct 26, 2011 12:09 pm

On Wednesday the 16th November AFC under 15's will play Histon Academy at Long Melford Football Club with a 7:30pm kick off.

Histon play against a number of professional clubs throughout the season and so far have seen them play West Brom, Notts County, Cambridge united, Boston, Luton Town and Kettering. Also they travel oversees and have played VFB Stuttgart and Austrian giants Red Bull Salzberg.

Histon have a fine track record off producing players and have seen many progress into their own first team whilst some have gone on to play in the football league. Also they have had a number of boys who have signed youth team contracts with premiership clubs.

The chance to play against a club like Histon is a fantastic opportunity and should be a good test for the boys who have won their first 5 fixtures off the season. All your support would be appreciated by the boys and it could be perhaps a chance to see some of the stars of the future in action.

Finally thanks goes to all at Long Melford F.C who have kindly and quiet willingly stepped in to host this showpiece friendly and in doing so have not disappointed the talented local lads.

I hope to see as many off you at stoneylands to support the boys.

That’s great news Craig this will give the boys a real test and a taste of what they can expect in the EJA next year.
It’s a pity that we have got to put money in to Long Melford pocket when we have a perfectly good pitch at Kings Marsh.

I'm sure someone has their reasons scratch
