The long awaited decision on the Oyster away game was finally made and as expected went in the Blues favour. The decision confirmed the Blues as D League Runners Up, thereby securing their promotion to the C League for next season.

An excellent campaign saw the Blues win 17, lose 2 and draw 1, they in addition had the best goal diff in the League. Managers Scott Payne, Ben Davies and coach Chris Tracey can be rightly proud of the teams achievement and their individual contributions to it.

The league committee sits tomorrow to decide the outcome of Oysters walk off the pitch against the Blues in February. Optimism is that the points and goals will be awarded to the Blues, which will be very significant to their title challenge, the worst case scenario is that they order a replay.

The Blues had a good win against tricky opponents Tempest this weekend, the 5 - 1 victory was essential to keep the pressure on Oyster and Col Ath. The Reds had no game.

Still top of the table the U15 Blues entertain Brooklands on Sunday the 2nd May.

The match is scheduled for kick off on the AFC Sudbury main pitch and will be the first meeting of the two teams this season. Brooklands after a poor start to the season have rallied well and now lie fourth, but cannot now make promotion. The Blues need the win to almost guarantee promotion, so it will be all to play for.

Title rivals Colchester Athletic will play the U15 Reds on the same day, with the match ...

AFC responded quickly good work from Nicoll saw his cross from the right met by Sam Davies and he made no mistake in heading the ball home.
