Romford match report

Just read the report on your website and have to say it makes a refreshing read

for a change. I couldn't make the game, but it is nice to hear somebody from the

losing side not looking for excuses and blaming the referee (yes we are guilty of

that too).

Most club reporters tend to be a tad myopic after getting a tonking, but this was a

pleasure to peruse.

Lovin' your work Richard Whiting.

PS: For added clarity it was Toran Senghore and Jack Barry.

The under 14's started their pre season with a good win away at Boxford on Sunday. The pitch at Homefields was in good condition and Sudbury raced into a 4 goal lead with two strikes from forward Charlie Poole, a well worked corner routine gave AFC their third when Tom Wingfield headed in a Harry Liskus corner. The fourth came from some good midfield play between Harry Fryer and Wingfield who slid in Liskus to score, with Sudbury now in firm control of the game we began to move the ball well ...

Today was the final straw for our management team. If you have any honesty about you please resign after that inept performance of your team.

How can a team play so poorly after the pre-season performances we had , where we played crisp football and at times played teams like Bury and Lowestoft off the park.

Lets not take anything away from Romford, 4 shots on goal, 4 goals.

The team selection over the last 2 games playing players out of position i.e. Steve Wareham midfield behind Baker is ...

Well I will say it if no one else will

Congratulations Chris Tracey and the team on the magnificent game on Friday night.

Unbelievable difference in players belief and attitude this season, showed some great resilience to hold on against some very good attacking play by Bury Town in first 20 mins, we then went on to create some fantastic chances against last seasons "best defence in the league" and then came back in the lasts 10 mins to score twice and win the game was superb.

At last, we win in a pre-season friendly!!

This was our first pre-season win since we beat Croydon 1-0 on 4th August 2007.

An encouraging start with an impressive first half from a new look forward line Steve Wareham, Lee Tonrow and Dave Wareham, they all looked like natural goal scorers, spmething we have been missing for a very long time.
